A Padma Shri awardee, Sunitha Krishnan is a social activist working for the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of the victims of sex-trafficking through Prajwala, an NGO that has set up one of the largest rehabilitation homes in the country. The 45-year-old crusader has written several books and also made many prize-winning documentaries to raise awareness against sex-trafficking.
