Widely known to be the “Waterman of India”, Rajendra Singh launched his pioneering work for community-based water harvesting from Rajasthan before taking his movement to the rest of the country. A winner of the Stockholm Water Prize, Magsaysay and several other prestigious awards, the 58-year-old was named as one of “the 50 people who could save the planet” by The Guardian.
