There were many skeptics when the BJP chose Devendra Fadnavis as the chief minister but he has passed muster with the people of Maharashtra as an able administrator. His greatest political success lies in his ability to navigate the choppy waters of the state politics without bowing to the diktats of the Shiv Sena but he has earned quite a reputation as being a pro-active administrator with his out-of-the-box infrastruture projects such as Maharashtra Prosperity Corridor which will link 24 districts to the Mumbai port.
